The Role of Foreign Direct Investment In The Relationship Between Global Innovation Index and Gross Domestic Product

Purpose: In today's world; where technology, capital and workforce are in a rapid flow across borders; quantitative indicators, that provide insight into the economic innovative performance of countries, key importance for decision makers. One these indicators is Foreign Direct Investment (FDI); which not only mechanism drives competition development, but also an international flow. This paper investigates whether FDI has mediator role relationship between Global Innovation Index (GII) Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Design/Methodology/Approach: The variable analysis was conducted based on secondary data FDI, GII GDP 43 countries been obtained from World Bank 2014 2018. Findings: As result analysis, all hypotheses were accepted. Consequently, positive significant found (GDP), it statistically (FDI) this relationship. Originality: literature, there any research explains relation order to address gap, study GDP.
